Amplifying Advocacy: How Sisters Speak for the Vulnerable
In an era when social media and digital communications define public discourse, Catholic Sisters in Kenya are increasingly leveraging these platforms to advocate for the marginalized communities they serve. From challenging harmful cultural practices to speaking on gender-based violence and access to education, Sisters are finding their voice in national conversations.
CNCS has been instrumental in this transformation. Through its advocacy communication training, Sisters have learned how to write op-eds, engage with media houses, and use social media to put pressure on decision-makers. The results have been remarkable: three congregations have successfully mobilised public support for clean water projects in their areas after strategic social media campaigns trained by CNCS.
