In the scorched plains of Turkana County, water is gold, and hunger is an everyday reality. Here, communities rely heavily on mobile outreach clinics managed by Sisters who brave scorching heat and treacherous terrain to deliver therapeutic food, clean water, and basic medical aid to children suffering from acute malnutrition.
"Our mission is simple: to make sure no child dies of hunger on our watch," says Sister Beatrice, who manages a nutrition clinic. Through collaboration with local communities, they have drilled four solar-powered wells that now serve over 10,000 pastoralists and their livestock.
